Learn more about the Supported Cultural Entities within the LIFE Programme in 2024

Since May 2024, Ettijahat has initiated the work with the supported institutions and entities within the LIFE programme. Following the announcement of this cycle's results, the Programme will support Six cultural entities and institutions in designing their artistic and cultural work this year. In this cycle, LIFE prioritised entities located in Syria and institutions in Lebanon and Turkey if they have direct partnerships or programmes in Syria. The program offers financial grants (up to 10,000 Euros) to cover administrative and operational costs. Additionally, LIFE will implement comprehensive training (virtual and in-person).

In July 2024, LIFE will implement comprehensive trainings (virtual and in-person). These trainings will focus on empowering supported institutions in strategic planning to enhance the skills and capabilities of the smaller and medium-sized supported entities. We aim in this cycle of LIFE to question the existing assumptions around the alienation and solitary condition of the Syrian independent art sector. Primary we aim to research and open up the horizon of a collaborative landscape and to expand the networking potentials between the local scene and its counterparts elsewhere by building bridges and enabling their connectivity.
