Extending Deadline for The Sadiq Jalal al-Azm Memorial Award for Culture Research

Ettijahat- Independent Culture has announced that the applications deadline for The Sadeq Jalal al-Azm Memorial Award for Cultural Research will be extended to February 15^th, 2017.

The Sadeq Jalal al-Azm Memorial Award was launched on December 1^st, 2016. The award targeted established Syrian and Palestinian Syrian researchers who specialise in art and culture issues.

One researcher will be given the award for a research paper focusing on pressing, current issues. The award’s value is 5,000 USD, and the awarded research will be published in the second half of 2017 in partnership with Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House.

A committee of independent researchers will study the applications. The committee members’ names will be announced after declaring the results in the first half of March 2017.
