Future Paths: A New Episode with Author Ali Safar

In the fourth episode of the Future Paths: Review of a Constitutive Decade, podcast author Ali Safar engages in a conversation with us on a verity of topics concerning the cultural and artistic Syrian scene in the last decade. This discussion also tackles the impact of the revolution, in addition to the role of artistic and literary productions in documenting alternative narratives. Safar also delves into Syrian art in exile in terms of its influence, as well as its differences and similarities with other artistic experiences from the Arab region.
 
“Future Paths” is a series of 11 interviews with a number of actors in the Syrian cultural and artistic sector during the past decades, and mainly during the past ten years, to provide a wide range reading of the most important questions for the next stage related to the production process of Syrian culture and arts, and its relations with questions from the Arab region and the world, in addition to trying to anticipate the most important questions for the next period related to the production process of Syrian culture and arts.
